Muthirai movie has Nitin Sathya and Daniel Balaji in the lead roles with Manjari and Lakshmi Rai respectively as their love interests. Muthirai in Tamil means a mark in its own right.
Muthirai movie is being produced by Aneez, the wife of deceased director Jeeva, who passed away while in Russia last year. Muthirai is a joint venture by Anees Jeeva and A.S.A. Productions and the music for this film will be scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
