This picture was taken from the top of Panama sand dunes. The southern side of the beach is very broad as shown here. But near the lagoon it becomes a very thin stretch of beach. The lagoon and the sea are divided by this thin sand strip. Just note the [ ... ]Source: Kottu.Org
