Zune Issues

After an unfortunate incident of losing a small by vital component of my zune sync cable, I thought it was all done (and like the famous saying goes, that 'I ended up having a 180$ paperweight). But fortunately I managed to find quite a few places which sell zune sync cables online. It arrived last week and today I was trying to connect it to my machine when I figured that there seems to be something wrong with the Zune Software it self.I googled about these things and it seems like there are known fixes, but Im listing them down [ ... ]
